KEEPING OUR NEIGHBOURHOODS SAFE
Making our roads and neighbourhoods safer for everyone.
✓ 35+ traffic calming measures installed across Ward 1.
✓ Helped deliver the long-awaited traffic signal at Bayview and Bethesda.
✓ Advocated for school zone safety and U-turn restrictions.
✓ Continued advocating for pedestrian safety and neighbourhood traffic solutions.
PROTECTING OUR ENVIRONMENT
Protecting our natural heritage and green spaces.
✓ Advocated to protect Lake Wilcox and Bond Lake.
✓ Salt Pollution motion to protect our lakes and the Oak Ridges Moraine.
✓ Turtle protection initiatives and habitat improvements.
✓ Requested additional wildlife crossing sign in key areas around Lake Wilcox.
✓ Advocated for the protection of parks, natural areas, and mature trees.
✓ Promoted responsible growth that respects environmental and infrastructure limits.

STANDING UP FOR TAXPAYERS
Ensuring responsible financial stewardship and value.
✓ Closely reviewed City and Library budgets and asked tough questions, holding spending to account.
✓ Not supportive of reducing development charges that shift costs to existing residents.
✓ Requesting that York Region provide an assessment of the cumulative impacts of data centres on electricity, water, wastewater and growth planning.
IMPROVING LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Championed a more accountable and accessible City Hall.
✓ Presented a motion returning Council meetings to in-person participation.
✓ Introduced the Elect Respect initiative promoting civility in municipal politics.
✓ Advocated for improved winter storm communications.
✓ Led a motion to improve accountability by having staff regularly report on how City services and projects are delivering value for taxpayers.

INVESTING IN COMMUNITY LIFE
Worked to improve recreation, parks and neighbourhood amenities.
✓ Presented the idea for seasonal pickleball courts at the Gormley GO station.
✓ Supported improvements to parks, trails and community gathering spaces.
✓ Initiated first-ever Concert in the Park in Oak RIdges.
✓ Supported a motion requesting that the Province turn Bond Lake a provincial park.
✓ Pushed for the city to examine the feasibility of banning fireworks.
